          The Journal of MCU Peace Studies aims to support and promote faculty members, staff, students, and those who are interested, both inside and outside the university, to submit and disseminate standard research article, academic article, book review, review article, and special article to the public, as well as enhancing the academic works to receive national and international recognition. The Journal of MCU Peace Studies hopes to be a market of the body of knowledge for researching, conveying, and exchanging knowledge in various fields. The Journal opens for articles on Humanities and Social Sciences, be it Buddhism, Philosophy, Peace Studies, Sociology, Laws, Political Science, Anthropology, History, Geography, Art and Culture, Community Development, Education, Psychology, and Applied Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Journal publishes 6 volumes per year.  All published articles will have passed the peer-review by at least 2 experts. The Journal accepts manuscripts in both Thai and English language.

 

Types of Articles Published in the Journal

          1) Research Article: A paper that presents research on Buddhism, Philosophy, Peace Studies, Sociology, Laws, Political Science, Anthropology, History, Geography, Art and Culture, Community Development, Education, Psychology, and Applied Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

         2) Academic Article: A paper that analyzes, criticizes, or presents new concepts.

        3) Review Article and Book Review: A paper that criticizes or explains reasons to support the points which the author agrees with or has a different opinion from an academic perspective.

        4) Special Article: A paper on anniversaries or important occasions.

 

Journal Publication Schedule 

            The Journal of MCU Peace Studies publishes 6 volumes  per year:

            1st Vol: January – February

            2nd Vol: March – April

            3rd Vol: May – June

            4th Vol: July – August

            5th Vol: September – October

            6th Vol: November – December

            Effective from January B.E. 2564 (A.D. 2021) onwards.

Peer Review Process

        The Journal of MCU Peace Studies has a quality assessment process from experts before the publication. All published articles will have passed the double-blind peer review by at least 2 experts. A manuscript of an author from MCU will receive the peer review from outside experts, while a manuscript from outside MCU will receive the peer review from experts within MCU who have expertise or experience in that field and are not the stakeholder.

Once the manuscript is approved by the Editorial Board (before Review Aticle), the authors must transfer the publication fees of 7,100 Baht (Seven thousand one hundred baht) per 1 article via the following bank account:

                   TMB Bank,   Account Number:  633-7-01948-0,

                   Account Name:  Journal of MCU Peace Studies

            After the transfer, the authors must send the money transfer slip or the receipt as a file of evidence to the Discussion Box. 

           The Journal of MCU Peace Studies does not have the policy to collect publication fees more than what is specified above. Authors should be careful of people impersonating members of the Editorial Board asking for additional charges. The Journal has no involvement and does not take responsibility in any aspect.

Announcement: Refrain from publishing some manuscripts

          As the approved manuscript for publication must pass the process of copyediting and production, the Journal of MCU Peace Studies reserves the rights to refrain from publishing some manuscripts or postpone the publication to an undetermined period due to the following cases:

         1) The Journal is unable to contact the corresponding author

         2) The author refuses to revise the manuscript according to the suggestions of the Journal

         3) The author does not have the transfer slip confirming the transfer of publication fees

         4) In the case that the English abstract is inaccurate, the Journal will let an English expert to correct or retranslate, in which the author will have to be responsible for the cost.

        In order that, It's the duty of the author of the article have to interest , follow up, query the progress of your article intermittently.

       The Journal of MCU Peace Studies has updated the journal reference format for more quality with same standard format. The Editorial Board of the Journal has revised the conditions, regulations, procedures for articles and reference format to be more comprehensive through clear examples and easy-to-understand explanations. The reference format must be according to the APA style (6th edition). Click for reference examples.

       The Journal of MCU Peace Studies has revised the Author Guidelines and Article Writing Format e.g., abstract not exceeding 500 words, number of pages not exceeding 15 pages, the Journal publishes 6 volumes per year  in order to facilitate the research articles of projects that have many objectives. etc.  Effective from Year 12 Volume 1 (January – February B.E. 2567) onwards.
