Abstract

        The purposes of this study were to study the efficiency of the public relations Department, Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, to compare people's opinions on public relations efficiency of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality were compared by personal factors including status and educational level and study the guideline for developing the efficiency of the public relations Department, Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, Nakhon Ratchasima province. The sample group use in research included 400 Communal President and Community members obtained from using multistage sampling method, collect data with questionnaires. Data were also analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test. Structured interview with specific key informants selected.

        The results showed that: 1) Overall public relations efficiency of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality was at a high level. When individual aspects were considered, an aspect with the highest mean was work quality. 2) Comparing public opinion, was found that overall, their status and educational level were significantly different at the .05 level. and 3) Guidelines for developing public relations efficiency of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, Nakhon Ratchasima Province found that administrators should emphasize on media and public relations. Dissemination of public relations should be systematically planned. More public relations officers should be available to be consistent with organizational mission and promote development to skills in news writing techniques. Should go actual site to do public relations proactively. study the behavior of the target group in acknowledging the news. A network of relationships among public, private sectors and local people should be built. Performance indicators should be identified to monitor and evaluate public relations results and disclosure of information and giving the public an opportunity to be informed of budget information should be available.
