Author Instructions

The Journal for Developing the Social and Community provides the following detailed instructions to assist authors in preparing and submitting manuscripts for publication. Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully read and follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth submission, review, and publication process.

 

  1. Scope and Types of Manuscripts

The journal welcomes original contributions in the fields of humanities and social sciences, including interdisciplinary research related to social and community development.

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles: Reports of original research findings with clear methodology and analysis.
  • Academic Articles: Conceptual, theoretical, or analytical discussions.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews and syntheses of existing literature.
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of academic books relevant to the journal’s scope.

All submissions must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, and relevance.

 

  1. Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online system:

Before submission, authors must:

  • Ensure the manuscript complies with all formatting and structural requirements
  • Confirm that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere
  • Prepare all required components (title, abstract, references, etc.)

 

  1. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official journal template:

3.1 Language

  • Manuscripts may be written in Thai or English
  • English manuscripts should be grammatically accurate and professionally edited
  • Thai manuscripts should follow formal academic Thai language standards

 

3.2 Formatting Requirements

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: TH SarabunPSK
  • Paper size: B5 (18.2 × 25.7 cm)
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides
  • Layout: Single-column format

 

3.3 Length

Manuscripts should not exceed 15 pages, including all elements such as:

  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Main content
  • Tables and figures
  • References

 

  1. Manuscript Structure

4.1 Title

  • Must be concise, clear, and informative
  • Provided in both Thai and English
  • Avoid abbreviations unless widely recognized

 

4.2 Author Information

  • Full names of all authors (Thai and English)
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Email address of corresponding author

 

4.3 Abstract

  • Required in both Thai and English
  • Should summarize objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions
  • Length:
    • Academic articles: ≤250 words
    • Research articles: ≤500 words

 

4.4 Keywords

  • Up to 5 keywords
  • Provided in both Thai and English
  • Should reflect the core topics of the manuscript

Research articles must include the following sections:

  2. Methodology
    • Research design
    • Data collection and analysis methods
  3. Results
    • Clear presentation of findings
  4. Discussion

  5. Conclusion and Recommendations
    • Summary of key findings
    • Implications and future research directions

  1. Structure of Academic Articles

Academic (non-research) articles should include:

  • Introduction
  • Main discussion (organized into sections)
  • Conclusion
  • References

 

  1. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations
  • Must be clearly labeled and numbered
  • Titles must be written in English
  • Should be relevant and not duplicate text content
  • Must include source information if adapted

 

  1. Citation and Reference Style

All references must follow APA Style (American Psychological Association):

Requirements:

  • All in-text citations must appear in the reference list
  • All references must be accurate and complete
  • Use credible and verifiable sources

 

  1. Ethical Requirements

Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics policy:

  • Manuscripts must be original and not previously published
  • Proper citation of all sources is required
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited
  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed

  1. Peer Review Process

The journal uses a double-blind peer review system, where:

  • Authors and reviewers remain anonymous
  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two experts

Evaluation criteria include:

  1. Open Access Policy

The journal operates under an open access model. All articles are freely available.

Publication fees are charged only after acceptance:
