Abstract

          The purposes of the research were to study the state and the formation of the ecotourism In Hoi An, an ancient town, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. It was a qualitative research. The sample consisted of 30 people in Hoi An, an ancient town, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam, Chosen by the purposive random sampling. The instrument used in this research was interview form. The data were statistically analyzed with ATLAS.ti program.

 The results of this research show that, 1) The state of ecotourism management in Hoi An, an ancient town, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam, showed that the central government did the action plan to preserve the ruin architectural building to be strong and gorgeous, legislated to protect Hoi An, an ancient heritage, defined the strategies to develop the ecotourism sustainably, set the budget for tourism in 2012- 2025 since Hoi An was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 1991. Organization aspect: there are 3 levels; national council, central government and local council. Command aspect ;  3 levels organizations are under the constitution by the Communist Party Of Vietnam. Connection aspect ; there are good relationship with the Wetland Alliance Organization

(WWF), the International Investment Promotion and Development Organization (FIDR), the Italian government and UNESCO to find guidelines to preserve the cultural heritage. Controlling aspect; do not allow to construct any buildings in the world heritage sites. Reporting the scientific research related history archeology, festival, belief, tradition culture, cooking and craft village in Hoi An. Tourism management in 10 years (2009-2019) the income raised up 13 per cent per year and 60 per cent of whole income. 2) The formation of the ecotourism management in Hoi An, an ancient town, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam showed that Planning aspect; the central government has approved My Son world cultural heritage management plan in 2020-2030 to solve the problems, to promote the value of world cultural heritage and to build the way to link the ecotourism area. Organization aspect; Sport cultural and Tourism Department has provided special activities to develop and support the ecotourism in world heritage sustainably. Command aspect; there are training people about the ecotourism management standards and develop occupational skills in the communities effectively. Connection aspect; International organizations requested the budget to develop occupational human resources and basic structure in the world heritage cities. Controlling aspect; do not allow the dwellings go inside the ancient sites. Finance management; there is an investment to develop human resources to preserve unique cultures traditions and core values. Reporting the result of the performance; to solve the problems environmental landscape protection in ecotourism in Hoi An, an ancient city and create a link path the historical coastal area and Lao Cham Islands.
