The Development of a Participatory Management Model for SchoolAdministrators of Educational Opportunity Expansion Schoolsin the Lower Northeast Provinces 1
Abstract
This research aimed to 1.study participative management among school administrators, 2. develop a participative management model and its implementation manual, and 3. evaluate and trial the model and manual. A mixed-methods approach was employed. The study involved 285 school administrators selected based on Krejcie and Morgan’s sampling table. Data were collected using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews and analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The model was developed through focus group discussions with nine selected experts. Evaluation was conducted by five experts, while the manual was trialed with 37 purposively selected administrators using evaluation forms. Findings revealed that school administrators’
1.The participative management consisted of six main components with 18 sub-elements. 2.The model and manual were developed and assessed as highly accurate, appropriate, feasible, and useful. and 3. The trial implementation demonstrated improved administrative practices after using the manual.
