Abstract

Background and Aims: The management of local learning resources by school administrators is an important process that connects community resources, local wisdom, and contextual backgrounds with educational management to promote learning that aligns with the lifestyles and needs of learners in the area. This research therefore aimed to: (1) study the conditions of local learning resource management by school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5, and (2) compare the management of local learning resources by school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 based on their administrative experience and school size.

Methodology: This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 136 school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 in the 2025 academic year, selected through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test, and t-test. When differences were found, pairwise comparisons of the mean differences were conducted using Scheffé’s method.

Results: 1) The management of local learning resources by school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 was overall at a high level. When considered by each aspect, all aspects were also at a high level. The aspect with the highest mean was monitoring and evaluation, followed by implementation and planning, while corrective action had the lowest mean. And 2) The comparative analysis of local learning resource management by school administrators under the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5, classified by school size, revealed that overall management did not differ. However, when considering each aspect, implementation and corrective action showed statistically significant differences at the .05 level, while the other aspects showed no differences. In addition, when classified by administrative experience, the overall management was not different. However, in individual aspects, planning and monitoring showed statistically significant differences at the .05 level, while the other aspects showed no differences.

Conclusion: School administrators place importance on the management of local learning resources and continuously implement related activities, particularly in monitoring, planning, and implementation. This strengthens the use of community learning resources in educational management. Although administrators may differ in experience and the size of the schools they manage, the overall direction of management remains similar.
