Occupational Development Process from Ethnic Art Wisdom of Thai-KhmerDescent to Create Social Cohesion to Support the Aging Societyin Buriram Province

Abstract

The objectives were 1) to study ethnic Thai-Khmer art wisdom in Buriram Province, 2) to create a career development process from Thai-Khmer ethnic art wisdom. 3) to create social cohesion to support the aging society from the process of professional development from the wisdom of ethnic Thai-Khmer art. Elderly households Total 79 people.

            The results showed that the process of Objectives are set for everyone to participate in order to achieve work efficiently by using the creation of concrete performance indicators and measure the performance against the goals set by the community determine the career development process from Thai-Khmer ethnic art wisdom to create social cohesion to support the aging society in Buriram Province. The community has changed in a positive way with a more interdependent relationship system with love and unity. Thay can able to solve community problems using a participatory process. At present, there is only 1occupation that produces and sells products, which is an occupation from basket weaving products made from plastic threads, resulting in an increase in income in the elderly household by 1,500 baht per time, representing 100 percent. can generate income for the community and it can reduce inequality as well as a fair distribution of income to people in the community as well. It has positive impacts at the provincial level. This causes the development of the foundation economy and stimulates the overall economy of the province.
