Development of a LINE Application for Waste Bank Management in Chang Sai Sub-district Municipality, Kanchanadit District, Surat Thani Province

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a LINE application for waste bank management in Chang Sai Sub-district Municipality, Kanchanadit District, Surat Thani Province. The development process involved several stages: (1) problem identification and definition, (2) system analysis, (3) system design, (4) system development, (5) system testing, (6) system installation, (7) management of the waste bank's recyclable waste, and (8) post-project LINE application maintenance. The overall effectiveness of the waste bank system was rated at a high level (= 4.24). When evaluating individual aspects, the accuracy of the waste bank system data received the highest mean score (= 4.58), indicating the highest level of agreement. Furthermore, the waste bank's operational committee within the Chang Sai Sub-district Municipality rated the usability of the waste bank system at the highest level overall (= 4.59). Breaking this down, the ease of use aspect received the highest mean score ( = 4.78), also at the highest level. Therefore, the developed LINE application, utilizing a Line Official Account, allows members to easily register, view relevant information such as their account passbook, check collection dates and times, and withdraw money, thus ensuring convenient access to member data.
