            Task-based Learning is a concept that focuses on developing language skills through work or assignments that lead to goals and allow students to practice. This research aimed to 1) compare the students’ English oral presentation skills before and after using task-based learning, and 2) survey the students’ satisfaction with task-based learning. The sample consisted of 35 first-year undergraduate students who enrolled in English for Life Skills subject at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Chiangrai during the second semester of the academic year 2022 by simple random sampling.             The research instruments were: 1) four task-based lesson plans, 2) the direct test of an oral presentation skill, 3) the rubric of an oral presentation skill, and 4) the questionnaire to survey the students’ satisfaction with task-based learning. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test independent.

            The result of the study was as follows: 1) The student’s English oral presentation skill after studying through task-based learning was significantly higher than before studying through task-based learning at the .05 level and 2) The students’ satisfaction with the task-based learning was at the highest level.
