The Development of Wicker Handicrafts Bamboo Furniture from Folk Wisdom in Prachinburi Province

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of bamboo furniture from folk wisdom in Prachinburi province. The objective is to improve the image of bamboo furniture and to develop bamboo furniture. The research tools are check-list type questionnaire, ranking question type questionnaire, and rating scale type questionnaire. The research method are study the preliminary data from the literature review and collecting field data, which is divided into 2 parts: The first part is the satisfaction data on preliminary design. The population are the experts in bamboo products and have at least 5 years of experience. Analyze the data and use it to draw the Furniture Perspective. To be used to collect data in Part 2, which is the level of satisfaction with furniture design. The population are users of bamboo home decoration products aged 20-40 years. Analyze the obtained data to be used as data in the design and creation of prototype products. The statistics are percentage, mean, standard deviation. The research results showed that the styles of bamboo furniture should have the following characteristics: beautiful, compact, simple but modern, Easy to match with the home decoration style, and easy to produce.
