The Development of Early Childhood Care Advising Ability to Parents by the Fourth-Year Students in Early Childhood Education Program Using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Activities

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to develop the early childhood care advising ability to parents by the fourth-year students in Early Childhood Education Program using problem-based learning (PBL) activities and to study the satisfaction of the sample students towards problem-based learning (PBL) activities. The sample of this study was 54 students in Early Childhood Education Program studying in the fourth year, Semester 2, Academic Year 2020 in Faculty of Education, Thepsatri Rajabhat University. One group pretest –posttest design was used as a research method.
The results of this study were 1) After the implementation of PBL activities, the academic achievement of the sample students studying in Parent Education and Community Networking for Early Childhood Development subject was higher than before with a statistical significance level of .01, 2) the sample students were satisfied with PBL activities under Parent Education and Community Networking for Early Childhood Development subject at a high level (M=4.62, S.D.=0.53). An aspect with the highest mean was process (M=4.76, S.D. = 0.42), followed by measurement and evaluation (M= 4.66, S.D. = 0.47), and lastly teacher (M=4.66, S.D.=0.47).
