Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the efficiency of reading comprehension packages on "Thai expressions" for nineth grade students; with the catena set at 80/80 2) to compare the learning achievement before and after the use of reading comprehension packages on "Thai expressions" for nineth grade students; 3) to study the effectivenen index of efficiency of the reading comprehension packages on "Thai expressions” for nineth grade students; and 4) to study the students' satisfaction towards the reading comprehension packages. The samples of this study consisted of 25 nineth grade students studying in the first semester of the academic year 2010 at Ban Nong Yai School in Satuek District, Buriram Province under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4) These samples were selected by using cluster
random sampling. The vesearch method was one group pretest posttest design. The instruments consisted of: 1) reading comprehension packages on Thai expressions for nineth grade students with the subtests at the end of packages, in a total of 9 sets with 20 items; 2) the lesson plans based on the reading omprehension packages for nineth grade students of 9 sets with 2 hours per set in a total of 18 hours; 3) the learning achievement tests using before and after learning consising of 1 sets of 40 items with 4 multiple choice. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, E/E E.I. and one samples t-test. The results were as follows:
1. The efficiency of the "Reading Comprehension Packages on Thai Expressions" for nineth grade
students had the effective criteria 87.44/81.30 which was at than the criteria set at 80/80.
2. The nineth grade students who learned by using "Reading Comprehension Packages on Thai Expressions" after learning had higher achievement than before learning at the .01 level of statistical
significance.
3. The effectiveness index of the reading comprehension packages on "Thai expressions” for nineth grade students was .5718 which was increased 57.18%.
4. The students' satisfaction towards the "Reading Comprehension Packages on Thai Expressions" for nineth grade students was at the highest level.
