  • Announcement: Update to the Peer Review Policy

    11-03-2026

Beginning with Volume 17, Issue 1 (2026), the Journal of Islamic Studies, Prince of Songkla University, has updated its peer review policy regarding the number of reviewers assigned to each manuscript. Under the revised policy, all submissions will be evaluated by two independent reviewers instead of the previous requirement of three reviewers.

This policy update aims to ensure that the journal’s editorial and peer review processes are aligned with the criteria of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), which requires that manuscripts published in academic journals undergo peer review by at least two qualified reviewers.

The revised policy is also consistent with international scholarly publishing standards, where manuscripts are commonly assessed through a double-blind peer review process involving a minimum of two independent reviewers.

This policy will take effect starting from Volume 17, Issue 1 (2026)
