The study analyzed three concepts of Dilthey’s approach in Mawlid al-Barzanjī: erlebnis, ausdruck and verstehen.

Methodology: Qualitative descriptive research that uses literary study. The primary data was sourced from a Prose of Mawlid al-Barzanjī by Sayyid Ja’far, especially the 12th topic, the secondary data from several references about Dilthey’s hermeneutic, Mawlid al-Barzanjī, and the of Prophet’s history. The data was collected with the documentation technique.

Research Findings: Three concepts of Dilthey’s approach in Mawlid al-Barzanjī were found: 1), The erlebnis concept indicated a deep relation between the biography of prose’s author and the history of prose. Second, the ausdruck concept showed the beautiful stylistic words, phrases, and senteces that expressed what the author intended through the verses of Mawlid. Third, the verstehen concept demonstrated the differences in time, the process, and the duties of Prophet's expedition between his being a prophet and an apostle.

Contributions: This study contributes to the Arabic literature corpus with Dilthey's hermeneutics theory. In addition, considering that Indonesia is a country with a Muslim majority, this information can be used by Muslims in Indonesia and even in other countries also by historians to expand the study of the history of Muhammad SAW and then emulate every process of his life in carrying out his duties as Allah's caliph on earth.
2025-06-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Islamic Studies, Prince of Songkla University https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JOIS/article/view/282858 The Role of Shari’ah Advisors in Overseeing Islamic Cooperatives in Thailand: A View from Cooperatives’ Management 2025-03-10T15:14:40+07:00 Aris Hassama aris.h@psu.ac.th Tawat Noipom tawat.n@psu.ac.th Al-amin Matae alaminmatae756@gmail.com Adnan Alfariti alfadnan@gmail.com Hageem Cheni hakimftu@ftu.ac.th
Objective: This research aims to evaluate the role of Shari’ah advisors in Islamic cooperatives in Thailand using the frameworks of Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).

Methodology: This qualitative research studied 13 Islamic cooperatives across six provinces, comprising five large, three medium, and five small cooperatives, through in-depth interviews with 25 key informants.

Research Findings: The study found that cooperative size significantly affects Shari’ah advisors’ structure and effectiveness. Large cooperatives have formal systems but may lack independence, medium-sized cooperatives offer flexibility but face coordination challenges, and small cooperatives have resource limitations but benefit from external advisors' neutral perspectives. Common challenges include the lack of a clear legal framework, absence of formal Shari’ah audit systems, varying compensation structures, and difficulties in integrating Shari’ah governance principles with existing cooperative governance guidelines.

Contributions: The findings can be applied to develop legal frameworks and governance guidelines suitable for Thailand's context, as well as establish operational standards for Islamic cooperatives that align with their size and available resources.
2025-06-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Islamic Studies, Prince of Songkla University https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JOIS/article/view/282233 Developing a Mechanism of Cooperation between Networks through the Shura Process for Taluban Municipality to Learning City 2025-02-23T13:02:08+07:00 Abdullateh Saleah abd.lateh@hotmail.com Ismail Raob waseemer.raob@gmail.com Irfan Meah-ouma irfan12hatu@gmail.com
Objectives: This study aimed to develop a Shura-based collaboration mechanism, design an urban plan integrating physical structure, accessibility, spatial use, network areas, and social context, and implement and evaluate stakeholder collaboration within Taluban Municipality, Pattani Province.

Methodology: The study employed purposive sampling to select 34 key informants from government, education, business, and community sectors in Taluban Municipality, all with at least five years of relevant experience.
