The Journal of Local Governance and Innovation (JLGI) hereby announces the temporary suspension of manuscript submissions, effective immediately until further notice.

This temporary suspension aims to facilitate the efficient management of manuscripts currently under the editorial and peer-review process, ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are processed within the journal's expected timeframe while maintaining the highest standards of academic quality.

The suspension is also part of the Journal's ongoing Journal Quality Management initiative, which seeks to strengthen editorial operations and publication standards in accordance with the quality criteria established by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), the academic evaluation criteria of the Office of the Higher Education Commission (formerly OHEC/Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation), and internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing.

During this period, the Editorial Board will continue to conduct editorial screening, peer review, revision, and publication processes for manuscripts that have already been submitted through the journal's online system. Authors who submitted their manuscripts prior to this announcement will not be affected, and their manuscripts will proceed through the normal editorial process until completion.

The Journal will announce the reopening of manuscript submissions through the official journal website and the ThaiJO online submission system once the editorial process has been fully optimized.

The Editorial Board sincerely appreciates the continued trust and support of authors, reviewers, researchers, and academic communities. We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary suspension may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

🎯 Scope of the Journal

The journal accepts articles in the following fields:

Political Science
Public Administration
Jurisprudence specializing in local government and local law
Management
Innovation in local administration and technology for local development

Articles must be relevant to:
Politics, governance, public administration, public policy, public sector management, and local development. Including contemporary issues such as:
Local Governance, Digital Governance, Public Policy, Community Development, Administrative Innovation, and GovTech.

🔎 Article Review Process

All articles will be reviewed by at least two qualified experts (Peer Review) in a
Double-Blind Peer Review format.

Articles must:

Be original work that has not been previously published.

Not be under consideration by another journal.

Have proper academic citations.
📘 Publication Standards

The journal adheres to national and international academic standards by:

Registering with DOI through the Crossref system.
Using the Article ID (e-Location ID) system.
Publishing as an electronic journal (Online Journal).
💰 Publication Fees

The Journal of Local Administration and Innovation charges publication fees only for regular publications; there is no fast-track fee.

The journal announces the following adjustment to publication fees:

Thai Research Articles/Academic Articles: 5,000 THB per article
English Research Articles/Academic Articles: 6,000 THB per article

Subject: Temporary Suspension of Article Submissions

The Journal of Local Governance and Innovation wishes to inform you that it is necessary to temporarily suspend article submissions in order to manage articles currently undergoing the peer review process and to improve the journal's operational processes to be more efficient and in line with national and international academic journal standards.

The purpose of this action is to:

Increase the efficiency and quality of the article review process.

Reduce the time required for review and publication.

Develop a systematic, transparent, and verifiable journal management system.

The journal will be temporarily suspended from now until further notice.

Articles submitted before this announcement will continue to undergo the normal review process until completion, without affecting the rights of the authors.

The journal will announce the new submission deadline via the ThaiJO website at a later date.

The editorial board apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks all authors and interested parties for their continued trust in the journal.

Announcement Regarding the Change to Article Numbering System to Article ID (e-Location ID)

Journal of Local Governance and Innovation

To elevate the journal's publication standards to align with the Thai Citation Index (TCI) quality assessment criteria and the best practices of international academic journals, from 2026 onwards, the journal requires all published articles to use the Article ID (e-Location ID) system instead of sequential page numbering for the online format. The Article ID is a unique code for each article and has the format eX.

Simultaneously, all articles will be registered with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) under the Crossref system using the DOI prefix:
10.65205/jlgisrru

The standard DOI display format is:
https://doi.org/10.65205/jlgisrru.YYYY.eX

Where:
YYYY = Year of Publication (AD)
e = electronic article
X = Article Number (corresponding to the Submission ID in the ThaiJo system)

The purpose of using the Article ID system is to ensure accurate, clear, and standardized identification, referencing, and searching in academic databases, consistent with journal publication in the digital age.

Articles published before this announcement can continue to use the old DOI format as usual, without affecting their academic status and value.

We would like to announce that the journal will begin using DOI (Digital Object Identifier) ​​codes via the Crossref system for all articles from "Year 9, Issue 3 (2025)" onwards.
The implementation of the DOI system elevates journal quality to meet international standards.
It supports assessments based on the 2025 Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) criteria,
supports traceability,
maintains article permanence,
and enhances academic transparency.

It supports the 2025 Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) Academic Rank Assessment Criteria,
enables articles to be verified in an international database (Crossref Metadata),
enhances the credibility of articles and journals,
prevents duplicate publications, and enhances transparency. Facilitates citation and searching in various systems, such as Google Scholar.
This is an important foundation for future DOAJ/ACI/Scopus upgrades.

It has come to our attention that certain individuals or groups are falsely claiming to represent the Journal of Local Governance and Innovation in order to collect fees for article publication. These parties claim to offer services including article writing, formatting, submission, and even securing acceptance letters from the journal.

The Journal of Local Governance and Innovation would like to clarify that it has no policy of charging such fees, and has never authorized any external individuals or groups to act on its behalf under any circumstances.

To avoid being deceived, individuals wishing to submit articles for publication should contact the journal only through its official communication channels. If you encounter suspicious behavior or are contacted by someone falsely claiming to represent the journal, please do not respond and notify the journal immediately.

    กรุณาดูคำแนะนำสำหรับผู้นิพนธ์ (Click)
2. เมื่อไฟล์เอกสารครบถ้วนแล้ว ทางกองบรรณาธิการจะพิจารณาบทความเบื้องต้น ตามข้อกำหนดของวารสาร หากผ่านการพิจารณาบทความเบื้องต้น ทางวารสารจะแจ้งให้ชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสารก่อนการตรวจประเมินคุณภาพบทความ

คำชี้แจงขั้นตอนการชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสารการบริหารการปกครองและนวัตกรรมท้องถิ่น
1. ขอให้ผู้นิพนธ์ส่งไฟล์เอกสารผ่านระบบ ThaiJo ประกอบด้วย
    1.1 บทความวิจัย/บทความวิชาการ ในรูปแบบไฟล์ Word จำนวน 1 ไฟล์
    1.2 แบบฟอร์มส่งบทความ จำนวน 1 ไฟล์
    กรุณาดูคำแนะนำสำหรับผู้นิพนธ์ (Click)
2. เมื่อไฟล์เอกสารครบถ้วนแล้ว ทางกองบรรณาธิการจะพิจารณาบทความเบื้องต้น ตามข้อกำหนดของวารสาร หากผ่านการพิจารณาบทความเบื้องต้น ทางวารสารจะแจ้งให้ชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสารก่อนการตรวจประเมินคุณภาพบทความ 
3. ช่องทางการชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสาร กำหนดให้โอนชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสารผ่านทางบัญชีธนาคาร โดยผู้นิพนธ์จะได้รับแจ้งจากเจ้าหน้าที่วารสารเท่านั้น

หมายเหตุ: การชำระค่าธรรมเนียมในการตีพิมพ์วารสารทุกรายการ เป็นค่าดำเนินการของวารสาร ซึ่งหากบทความของท่านไม่ผ่านการพิจารณาให้ตีพิมพ์ลงในวารสารการบริหารการปกครองและนวัตกรรมท้องถิ่น จากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 3 ท่าน และถูกปฏิเสธการลงตีพิมพ์ ทางวารสารจะไม่คืนเงินค่าตีพิมพ์วารสารดังกล่าว

ขอแจ้งการบันทึกรหัสทรัพยากรสารสนเทศดิจิทัล DOI ของบทความที่ตีพิมพ์ ตั้งแต่ปี 2566 เป็นต้นไป

เรียน ผู้นิพนธ์ ทุกท่าน
ตามที่วารสารการบริหารการปกครองและนวัตกรรมท้องถิ่นได้ดำเนินการขอหมายเลขรหัสทรัพยากรสารสนเทศดิจิทัล หรือ ตัวระบุวัตถุดิจิทัล (ดีโอไอ) (Digital Object Identifier : DOI) สำหรับทุกบทความที่ตีพิมพ์ในวารสารการบริหารการปกครองและนวัตกรรมท้องถิ่น ตั้งแต่ปี 2566 เป็นต้นไป นั้น

บัดนี้วารสารขอแจ้งว่า ทุกบทความที่ตีพิมพ์ ตั้งแต่ปี 2566 ในวารสารการบริหารการปกครองและนวัตกรรมท้องถิ่น ได้ทำการบันทึกรหัสทรัพยากรสารสนเทศดิจิทัล DOI เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว และขอให้ท่านตรวจสอบรหัส DOI ผ่านระบบ ThaiJo ของวารสาร https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JLGISRRU/issue/view/17403
