Chamroen Withi Road (also known as Lang Wik Dao Road) is an important road in the Tha Wang district, connecting with other major roads around the old town of Nakhon Si Thammarat. It has historically played a significant role in supporting social activities and the local community’s way of life. However, in recent years, the old town has faced economic decline and development in the new urban areas, leading to the deterioration of the Tha Wang area. Additionally, there is a conflict regarding the placement of street vendors obstructing the front of shophouses, resulting in disputes within the community. The objective of this research is to design the improvement of Chamroen Withi Road through a participatory process, while considering the preservation of the architectural and cultural values of the Tha Wang district. The study began with site surveys, data collection, analysis, and synthesis to develop a design process using architectural tools for physical improvements, and to establish a collaborative management agreement for the area. The research is based on the Main Street Approach, which serves as the main conceptual framework for revitalizing the area. Furthermore, the research findings indicate that Chamroen Withi Road has the potential to revitalize the quality of life, economy, and spiritual values of the community. The development plan focuses on transforming the area into a cultural tourism destination that showcases the intangible cultural values and sense of place of the people in Tha Wang district. The study concludes with a preliminary design for the improvement and management of the road and a collaborative agreement for the revitalization of Tha Wang district, developed by participants in the design process, to guide the future development and revitalization of the district
