Abstract

This participatory action research analyzes community readiness and implements the farm-to-school concept to sustainably enhance community potential at Rajaprajanugroh 45 School in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. The empirical study engaged 183 participants, including school administrators, teachers, youth-farmer students, local farmers, and government representatives. Utilizing interviews, questionnaires, and knowledge assessments, data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, dependent t-tests, and content analysis. Findings reveal that both the educational institution and the agricultural community possess exceptional readiness for driving this collaborative initiative. Consequently, participants co-designed five practical learning modules: safe crop cultivation, food safety verification, sustainable small-scale livestock production, safe agricultural processing, and educational farm visits. Post-implementation results demonstrate a statistically significant improvement in students' practical agricultural knowledge. Furthermore, the program generated substantial impacts, effectively advancing local economic growth, public health, educational quality, environmental sustainability, and community cooperation. Ultimately, this initiative successfully positions professional farmers as invaluable educational resources, fostering highly resilient and self-reliant agricultural communities.
