DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES FOR PROFESSIONAL PRIMARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE DIGITAL AGE, UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN REGION

This article presents guidelines for developing professional primary school administrators in the digital age under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The objectives were to study the current status and expectations of administrators' work, as well as to identify the needs for development, aligning with technological changes and 21st-century education management. The research methodology included a survey of 520 administrators and teachers, along with in-depth interviews with educational administration experts. The results revealed a high demand for development in academic administration, budget, personnel, and general affairs, especially the application of digital technology in learning management, transparent budget management, creating an environment that promotes lifelong learning, and developing digital skills for educational personnel. Furthermore, the research highlights the importance of building collaborative networks with external organizations to support school development. The results of this research are beneficial for setting policies and practices for developing school administrators to lead schools to sustainable excellence in the digital age and effectively meet the needs of learners and the community.
