EFFECTS AND RELATED DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS OF THE EPIDEMIC OF THE CORONAVIRUS 2019 IN THE MUNICIPALITY BANG SAWAN, SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to 1) investigate the impact of the Coronavirus Disease of 2019 epidemic and 2) investigate the demographic factors influencing the impact of the infectious disease epidemic. The sample group consisted of 350 households. Collect data from questionnaires. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation statistics, and by multiple regression analysis. The results showed that most of the respondents were minimally affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, which has the greatest impact on education, followed by mental health, the economy, government measures and requirements, and travel. All nine demographic factors affected the impact of the 2019 Coronavirus Disease epidemic at a statistical significance level of 0.05, which could explain 34.50% of the variation in impact (R² = 0.345). The aspect that had the most significant impact was current occupations. Followed by average monthly household expenditures before the outbreak of COVID-19, and the smallest was the number of members in households. The impact of the epidemic has a wide-ranging effect. As a result, in this time of unrest, providing medical assistance and reimbursement as needed will help alleviate distress and encourage people to live.
