The Comparative Study of Safety Management System Training Effects on the Safety Culture Perception among Thai Aviation Personnel

This research aim to study the perception of safety culture among aviation personnel who work in the Thai aviation industry context and to examine the effect of Safety Management System (SMS) training between aviation personnel who has undergone the training within two years and those who have not. The data was collected from 517 samples. The data was analysed using descriptive statistic techniques and an independent t-test. The results show that the overall mean of the 5-dimension Safety Culture is Agree including

An independent-samples t-test was conducted to compare the level of Safety Culture perception of the aviation personnel who have received the SMS training and those who have not. The Safety Policy was considered to be statistically significant at 0.00 at .05 level of significance. The Essential Elements of a Safety System was considered to be statistically significant at 0.002 at .05 level of significance.
