The Political Participation of Police in Maung Suphanburi Police Station

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the level of political participation of police in Maung Suphanburi police station and to determine factors affected their political participation. The samples composed of 151 police in Maung Suphanburi police station. The data were collected by using questionnaires and analyzed by using the packaging computer program. Statistical tools employed in data analysis and presented through Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Pearson Product – Moment Correlation Coefficient. The level of significance for statistical testing was 0.05. The research findings are as follow. The level of political participation of police in Maung Suphanburi police station was moderate. According to the hypothesis is testing, age, level of education, rank, line of work and term of tenure did not caused any difference in the political participation. However, political socialization caused difference in the political participation.
