Readiness of Thai Architects for Free Labor Mobility in The ASEAN Economic Community

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to inquire the opinion from architectural profession of free labor mobility, to inquire the readiness, to inquire the strengths or advantages and to inquire the problem of Thai architects for free labor mobility in the ASEAN Economic Community. For data collection, by through in-depth interviews who involved in the profession of architecture in Thailand. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics for qualitative data. The results showed that Thai architects are not ready for free labor mobility in the ASEAN Economic Community. Because the conditions and procedures are the ASEAN Architect (AA.) has complexity. Thai architects still lacks of some features for the ASEAN Architect, the most of Thai architects are licensed professional with associate architect and not keeping score of Continuing Professional Development. Thai architects are not ready entering to free labor mobility of architectural professional.
