Abstract

Objectives of the research were to 1) compare the motivation factors in choosing educational institution by demographic factors. 2) compare the degree of self-development by demographic factors. 3) examine the relationship between motivation factors and self-development. The samples were 293 first-year students at SPUC. Statistics were percentage, average, standard deviation, between-group mean variation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, pair-wise comparison, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings showed that the motivation factors and self-development at first-year students were at a high level.
