The Opinions of Car Users in Bangkok Metropolis towards the Alternative Energy Policy

This research aimed to 1) study the level of the opinion of car user in Bangkok toward the alternative energy policy, 2) study and compare the opinions of car users in Bangkok towards the alternative energy policy classified by personal factors and the levels of perception of information on alternative energy policy and 3) study the relationship between the attitudes towards using alternative energies and the opinions of car users in Bangkok towards the alternative energy policy. The samples in this quantitative research were 400 car users in Bangkok and questionnaires were used as the instrument in data collection and analysed by a computer program. The statistical methods used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent Samples t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The result of the research showed that the opinions of car users in Bangkok towards the alternative energy policy was at high level. The comparison such opinions classified by gender, age, level of education, average monthly income, and level of perception of information on alternative energy policy were not significantly different. However, the opinions of the car users with different marital status and occupations were significantly different at .01 statistical significance level. Additionally, the relationship between the attitudes of using alternative energies and the opinions of car users in Bangkok towards the alternative energy policy was positively significant difference at the statistical significance level of .01
