Focus and Scope:

            Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology has a policy promote and encorage high quality articles in the clinical psychology, psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychometrics, mental health, neuropsychology, foreensic psychology and other similar fields. The targets are clinical psychologist, psychologist, physician, nurse, multidispreinary, teacher, professor, student, scholar and researcher. 

 

Peer Review Process:

            All articles are assessed by specialists in their relevant fields by three expert reviewers via the double – blinded review system and must be approved by the editorial board before being accepted for publication.

            Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology have published online starting from the Vol. 52, No. 1, 2021.

 

Publication and Access Charges:

          Authors need to pay a handling fee for publishing with the Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology (TJCP). The payment amount is USD 220 (Account name: Kulvadee Thongpibul and Sunisa Kintarak, Account no: 000-3-32092-8, Bank name: Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited. Address: Somdet Chaopraya Institute of Psychiatry, 112 Somdet Chao Phraya Road, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600, Thailand. Tel: +66 2 590 8017, +66 81 876 2440). Kindly note that this fee covers the minimal charges for processing the paper and does not mean that the submission would be published, since each submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process before it can be accepted for publication.

          The publication fee is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted by the reviewers or has been accepted following revisions made in accordance with the reviewers’ recommendations. If the author(s) decide not to proceed with publication or withdraw the manuscript after it has been accepted by the reviewers, an administrative fee and reviewers’ honoraria totaling USD 220 will be charged. However, if the manuscript is rejected by the reviewers, the author(s) will not be required to pay any publication fee or other charges.

Journal History:

          The Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology is a high-quality academic journal dedicated to clinical psychology and related disciplines. It serves as a scholarly platform for clinical psychologists, academics, healthcare professionals, and other interested readers. The journal is published semiannually, with two issues per year, and is distributed to hospitals, public health institutions, and university libraries throughout Thailand.

The journal was first published in 1969 under the title Journal of Clinical Psychology (Thai title: วารสารจิตวิทยาคลินิก) with ISSN 0125-1422 (Print). In 2017, beginning with Volume 48, Issue 1 (January–June 2017), the journal was renamed Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology. This change reflected the Thai Clinical Psychologist Association’s commitment to publishing the journal through an online platform and advancing toward international standards, as the original title was identical to that of an existing international journal.

In 2021, the Thai Clinical Psychologist Association officially requested the National Library of Thailand to approve changes to both the Thai and English titles of the journal. Consequently, the journal was officially renamed Thai Journal of Clinical Psychology (Online) with ISSN 2774-1087 (Online), effective from Volume 52, Issue 1 (January–June 2021) onward.
