The Training Curriculum for professional teacher students to Enhance Competency in The Creation of Reading Literacy Assessment Tools According to the PISA Style

Abstract
The study consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the components of training curriculum model; 2) to develop the training curriculum model; and 3) to explore the results of using training curriculum model. The study applied research and development approach. A sample group included 30 professional teacher students who were studying at the fourth year at Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University, who were selected by way of multi-stage sampling. The research instruments were competency assessment form and training curriculum model. The statistics used for analyzing the data were mean, standard deviation (S.D.), and t-test.
The study found the following results: 1) There are 7 components for training curriculum model, namely model principles, model objectives, model structure, model content, model activity, model media and learning resource, model measurement and evaluation. The competency framework is divided into 3 aspects: knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Each aspect contains 6 indicators, and model training activity consists of 6 stages: reviewing knowledge, providing guidance, presenting content, learning new skills, advocating its application, and summarizing learning. The results of expert examination of the propriety are found to be at the highest level; 2) The training curriculum model is a guidebook for using a model that consists of a training management plan, which is divided into six units, and in which the results of expert examination of the propriety are found to be at the highest level; and 3) The posttest mean of those who participated in the training is higher than the pretest mean, with a statistical significance of 0.05 level. The posttest mean from assessing the tools created by those who took part in the training is higher than the specified criteria of 70%, with a statistical significance of 0.05 level.
