Experimental Results of Learning Management Model using the Authentic Learning to Enhance Holistic Learning Process for undergraduate students

Abstract

The research article entitled “The development of authentic learning management model to promote a holistic learning process for students in higher education” aimed at developing the authentic learning management model to promote a holistic learning process for students in higher education. The study used the action research technique with a target group of 28 students from the 3rd year of Social Studies Major, Education Faculty, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, per academic year 2/2562. From the study, the results found that the authentic learning management model to promote a holistic learning process consists of 5 components which are: 1) Concepts, theories, beliefs, and assumptions of the learning management model; 2) Objectives or goals of the learning management model; 3) Learning content and media; 4) Learning activities and support system; 5) Evaluation. The learning management model created by the researcher conforms to the conceptual relationship of the development of the learning activity model, which consists of five phases as follows: 1st phase on basic knowledge; 2nd phase on action; 3rd phase on building a body of knowledge; 4th phase on conclusion and presentation; and 5th phase on evaluation. The achievement result of authentic learning to promote a holistic learning process for students in higher education has a score of 94.17, passing the specified criteria with a score of not less than 70%.
