Effect of Prayer and Listening to Prayer on Test Anxiety of Mathayom Suksa 4 Students with Different Faith in Buddhism

Abstract
This research is the objectives of the study were 1) to study effect of prayer and listening to prayer on test anxiety of students with different faith in Buddhism 2) to compare between prayer and listening to prayer on test anxiety of students with different faith in Buddhism. This research is a Quasi-experimental research with 2x2x3 Design with One Factor Repeated Measure the statistics used were using 3 Way ANOVA with Repeated Measure.
The results of the study were as follow: The prayer group, whether with high or low faith in Buddhism, can reduce their test anxiety more than listening to prayer group and controlled group, with statistical significance at p< 0.01; Test anxiety was caused from thinking process which related between the anxiety condition and testing situation, that could cause worriedly feeling; The method for coping with anxiety was to relax, which was by praying for inner peace and concentration. With rehearsing for a period of time, it could significantly change the way of brain working, by staying focus in present not interpreting any stimulus. When facing with any situation, it would be effectively controlled their own emotions.
In additional, the adaptation could help person accepting with any situations or any circumstances. Finally, emotion would be better, and could reduce anxiety and depression.
