วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อจัดทำพื้นที่กันชนโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม พื้นที่เทศบาลตำบลท่าข้ามตามพระราชบัญญัติโรงงานโดยใช้ระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ QGIS (ฟรีแวร์)
วิธีการศึกษา: การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการที่ใช้รูปแบบการวิจัยและพัฒนาโดยศึกษา 1) บทบัญญัติของกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องในการจัดทำพื้นที่กันชนของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมตามข้อมูลกรมโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ได้แก่ พระราชบัญญัติโรงงาน ฉบับที่ 2 (พ.ศ. 2535) และพระราชบัญญัติโรงงาน ฉบับที่ 25 (พ.ศ. 2559) เพื่อนำมาใช้เป็นเกณฑ์สร้างปัจจัยในการจัดทำพื้นที่กันชนโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมในเขตพื้นที่เทศบาลตำบลท่าข้ามทั้งสิ้น 95 โรงงาน 2) การสร้างพื้นที่กันชนโดยใช้โปรแกรมสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ โดยมีการนำเข้าข้อมูลบรรยายตามเงื่อนไขพระราชบัญญัติที่เกี่ยวข้อง ร่วมกับการนำเข้าข้อมูลสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์เชิงพื้นที่ 6 ชั้นข้อมูล ได้แก่ ข้อมูลสถานที่สำคัญ ข้อมูลการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินปี พ.ศ. 2561 ข้อมูลขอบเขตพื้นที่ศึกษา ข้อมูลถนน ข้อมูลแหล่งน้ำและข้อมูลที่ตั้งโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม 3) วิเคราะห์หาที่ตั้งโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมที่มีสภาพแวดล้อมไม่เหมาะสมจาก 3 ปัจจัย ได้แก่ ปัจจัยพื้นที่ชุมชน ปัจจัยสถานที่สำคัญและปัจจัยแหล่งน้ำ
ข้อค้นพบ: โรงงานอุตสาหกรรมที่ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่กันชนตามพระราชบัญญัติโรงงานจาก 3 ปัจจัย ได้แก่ 1) ปัจจัยพื้นที่ชุมชนพบโรงงานในพื้นที่กันชนจำนวน 8 โรงงาน 2) ปัจจัยสถานที่สำคัญพบโรงงานในพื้นที่กันชนจำนวน 3 โรงงาน 3) ปัจจัยแหล่งน้ำพบโรงงานในพื้นที่กันชนจำนวน 8 โรงงาน
การประยุกต์ใช้จากการศึกษานี้: การสร้างพื้นที่กันชนตามข้อกฎหมายที่กำหนดดังกล่าวมานี้ สะท้อนให้เห็นการตั้งโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมในช่วง 30 ปี และแสดงให้เห็นถึงการขยายตัวของพื้นที่ชุมชมหลังการตั้งโรงงานผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง สามารถนำข้อมูลดังกล่าวไปใช้ในการวางแผนกำหนดประเภทการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินเพื่อรองรับการบริหารจัดการเมืองที่เติบโตขึ้น ควบคู่กับการให้ความสำคัญกับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนและสิ่งแวดล้อมในพื้นที่ เพื่อให้อุตสาหกรรมสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันกับชุมชนได้อย่างยั่งยืน
