The COVID-19 pandemic affects the global context and changes way of life, including the form of learning. Museums around the world are also impacted. Transformation from analogue to digital technology in both exhibition and organizational management of museum is mandatory, so that the museum continues to play a role as a source of learning in society. For example, people can now visit the virtual museum through an online system instead of visiting the actual site. However, when exhibits are available online, it is easy to copy, reproduce, modify and distribute them in digital formats. Therefore, the lack of awareness about intellectual property may lead to the impact on the legitimate rights of the copyright owner and to the copyright infringement. it is necessary to develop a virtual museum in a way that make people aware of the Copyright Act to prevent unintentional infringements leading to lawsuits and claims. The article aimed to highlight the importance of intellectual property types, violation nature considerations and management guidelines to prevent abuse including guidelines for choosing appropriate and accurate information media according to the Copyright Act.
