บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาการผจญภัยของวีรบุรุษในนวนิยายเรื่อง “หุบเขากินคน” ของมาลา คำจันทร์ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1. เพื่อศึกษาการผจญภัยของวีรบุรุษในนวนิยายเรื่องหุบเขากินคน ของมาลา คำจันทร์ ตามทฤษฎีการผจญภัยของวีรบุรุษของโจเซฟ แคมพ์เบลล์ 2. เพื่อศึกษาคุณค่าของการผจญภัยของวีรบุรุษในนวนิยายเรื่องหุบเขากินคนของมาลา คำจันทร์ พบว่า ตัวละครบดินทร์มีวงจรการผจญภัยสอดคล้องกับแนวคิดของโจเซฟ แคมพ์เบลล์ ทั้ง 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนการออกเดินทาง ขั้นตอนการทดสอบทดลอง และขั้นตอนการกลับคืน การศึกษาการผจญภัยของวีรบุรุษในนวนิยายเรื่องหุบเขากินคน มีคุณค่าดังนี้ การเข้าใจการเติบโตและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของตัวละคร การสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการพัฒนาตนเองผ่านการเผชิญปัญหาและอุปสรรคของตัวละคร
