The Development of Learning Achievement on Al-Akhlaq Subject by Using Electronic Comic Book for Intermediate Islamic Studies Students, Year 2

Objectives: 1) to develop and determine the efficiency of an electronic comic book for intermediate Islamic studies students, year 2 according to criteria of 80/80, 2) to compare the learning achievement of the students before and after learning by using an electronic comic book intermediate Islamic studies students, year 2, and 3) to study students’ satisfaction with an electronic comic book on al-Akhlaq subject for intermediate Islamic studies students, year 2.
Methodology: The samples were 29 intermediate Islamic studies students, year 2, the second semester of the academic year 2022. The instruments of the independent study consisted of 1) five topics from an electronic comic book, 2) thirty questions of four multiple-choice items learning achievement test on al-Akhlaq subject, and 3) ten items with a five-scale students’ satisfaction questionnaire using the electronic comic book. Statistics used for data collection were mean scores, standard deviation, and Dependent t-test.
Research findings: 1) The efficiency of electronic comic books was E1/E2, 81.12/84.02 which was higher than the specified criterion 80/80. 2. The learning achievement on the al-Akhlaq subject by using an electronic comic book after learning was ( = 25.21, S.D. = 2.72) which is considered as higher than before learning ( = 15.31, S.D. = 1.26) at the statistically
a significant level of .05 and 3) The students’ satisfaction with the learning management by using the electronic comic book was at the highest level ( = 4.11, S.D. = 0.24).
Contribution: This research can be used for academic purposes in terms of developing a model for teaching and learning Islamic studies.
