Negative Mood Management of Adolescent Affected by Digital Technology

Abstract

Generation Z adolescents are consistently interconnected with the internet and various social networking platforms, showcasing a notable aptitude for adapting to and expertly utilizing technology. However, this perpetual exposure to vast amounts of information poses a potential drawback, as it may influence their cognitive processes, emotions, and behaviors. Effective management of the negative impact of digital technology necessitates appropriate emotional regulation. A review of existing literature suggests that adolescents can regulate their emotions by employing strategies emotional regulation techniques and leveraging technological resources. Seeking guidance from parents and teachers is also recommended. The author aims to discuss managing negative moods caused by digital technology. The article will benefit those studying teenagers and can serve as a guide for enhancing their emotional regulation skills.
