Effects of Science Instruction Using Inquiry-based Approach and Peer-Assessment towards Ability in Creating and Using Science Teaching Materials of Students Majoring in General Science Education, Faculty of Education at Roi Et Rajabhat University

The purposes of this study were to study1) the students’ ability in creating science instructionalmaterials using inquiry based approach and peerassessment;and 2) the ability in using scienceinstructional materials. The sample was 131 fourthyearstudents majoring in General Science Educationfrom Faculty of Education, Roi Et Rajabhat Universityusing purposive sampling. The research instrumentswere an evaluation form of students’ ability increating science instructional materials with analyticrubrics and 2) an evaluation form of students’ abilityin using science instructional materials with analyticrubrics. The statistic used for data analysis were mean,percentage, and standard deviation.The research findings indicated that 1) Students’ability in creating science instructional material was77.08 % higher than the set criteria of 75% and wasrated at a high level; and 2) Students’ ability in usingscience instructional material was 76.04% and wasrated at a high level.
