Simultaneously, translators are able to include linguistic features in translated lyrics for enhancement purposes. This research thus analyzed strategies applied to the Thai-English translation and rhymes used in the English translations of Thai songs of “Three Man Down” — a Thai musical band whose songs are well-known in several countries for their heart-breaking songs. According to the theory of Vinay and Darbelnet (2000), translation strategies found in the selected songs were mostly oblique ones (modulation, transposition, adaptation, and equivalence). The analysis of position-based rhymes using Pinsky’s (1998) theory, on the other hand, suggested the significantly frequent use of end rhymes in the songs. The scrutiny further revealed that adherence to the structure of the source language (herein Thai) was not necessary in translation of Three Man Down’s songs, as evidenced by multiple adjustments to the lyrics and occurrences of rhymes more frequently found in obliquely-translated lyrics than literally-translated ones.
Teekawin Disa Copyright (c) 2024 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/281950 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Development of Scientific Experimentation Skills through Community-Based Science Learning Activities for Grade 10 Students https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/275625
This research aims to: 1) develop science learning activities using a community-based approach to enhance scientific experimentation skills; 2) examine the scientific experimentation skills of students who participate in community-based science learning activities; 3) compare the academic achievement of students participating in community-based science learning activities before and after the program; and 4) assess the satisfaction of students engaged in community-based science learning activities. The data sources for this research are 21 studies on Muay Thai training programs conducted between 2010 and 2023. Data were collected using a systematic review, with quality assessment of quasi-experimental research following the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute. Additionally, The research characteristics were evaluated by a panel of five experts using the Content Validity Index (CVI), resulting in an overall score of 4.52, reflecting a satisfactory level. Descriptive statistical methods and content analysis were employed to evaluate the research features. The effect sizes of the research were calculated through meta-analysis using the Hedges' method (1981: 107-128). The findings reveal that most research on factors affecting Muay Thai training programs were master's theses (66%), followed by doctoral dissertations (44%). In terms of academic fields, sports science accounted for the highest percentage (57%), followed by physical education (24%) and other fields (14%).

A comparison of effect size values for six variables influencing the dependent variable of the research on factors affecting Muay Thai training, using One-way ANOVA, showed that four variables had statistically significant differences at the .05 level. These variables are the type of training activity, the number of rounds per training session, rest duration, and the sample size. The effect sizes from these analyzed variables provide knowledge and information that can be applied and integrated with sports training principles to advance the development of Muay Thai training programs.
Napong Romkaew, Canthasap Chompoopat, Therdsak Suphandee Copyright (c) 2024 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/278216 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Training Course for Service Staff Personality of ABC Convenience Stores in Bangkok and Vicinity Areas https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/279609
This research is a qualitative research. The population consisted of 100 sales representatives from private companies in Bang Kapi. Data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square statistical method to test the research hypotheses.

The study found that the majority of cosmetic sales staff in private companies in Bang Kapi were female, aged between 25 and 30, held a bachelor's degree, earned a monthly income of 20,000 - 25,000 baht, was single, and had a work tenure of 2 to 4 years. Regarding job performance, the overall competency level of the sales staff was rated high. The assessed dimensions included personality, work motivation/ attitudes, knowledge, skills, and self-perception. The study identified three factors that contributed to enhancing job performance: creativity, job satisfaction, and work-life balance. However, the hypothesis testing revealed that these factors were not significantly associated with job performance. Sales staff with varying performance-enhancing factors exhibited similar performance levels, except for those with work-life balance as a core factor, who showed a higher proportion of low performance compared to other groups. Nonetheless, it implies that performance-enhancing factors are not significantly related to the job performance of cosmetic sales staff in Bang Kapi.
Panida Phokasem, Tankamon Tanachala, Atsavin Saneecha, chutima ketsa, Phatteera Jiraudomsarod Copyright (c) 2024 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/278682 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Development a Model to create Professional Learning Community of Thai Language Teachers to Improve Critical Reading Skills of Lower Secondary School Level in Schools Under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Roi Et https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/270651
This research aimed: 1) to investigate existing situations and desirable situations of learning management to develop critical reading skills of Thai language teachers at lower secondary school Level; 2) to develop a model of creating professional learning community of Thai language teachers to improve critical reading skills of lower secondary school level; 3) to explore the results of implementation of the model to create professional learning community of Thai language teachers to improve critical reading skills of lower secondary school level; and 4) to evaluate the model to create professional learning community of Thai language teachers to improve critical reading skills of lower secondary school level. From the study, it was found that when commanders issue orders and punish soldiers under their command, there may be problems that are inconsistent with military disciplinary offenses. In addition to disciplinary punishment, the military also has penalties for other administrative actions. which is characterized by overlapping punishment for a single offense In addition, every military disciplinary punishment order, whether it is detention or imprisonment, is a military disciplinary action that cannot be filed in an administrative court. Therefore, it is seen that the said Act should be revised and amended to be appropriate and consistent with the present era, which is more complicated than in the past.
Suttipun Malitong, Wanlop Piriyawattana Copyright (c) 2024 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/279571 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Social Capital as a Driving Process for Thai Community Enterprises https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/280970
This article aims to presents a study of the role of social capital toward community enterprises, focusing on strengthening and developing these enterprises.
