Data collection included in-depth interviews with 30 Japanese participants and 40 locals, participant and non-participant observations, and focus group discussions. The findings revealed that the Rungarun Project fostered a Japanese transnational community through shared values in education, sustainable agriculture, and the preservation of ethnic cultures. Japanese individuals from both Thailand and abroad participated through on-site involvement, financial support, and community-based activities, forming an expanding transnational network. This network positively impacted local development in ethnic communities. For example, at Ban Lo Jor, women practiced traditional weaving to increase income and preserve cultural heritage. At Ban Pa Kia, sustainable agricultural practices enhanced household income and promoted community cooperation.

The study suggested that the formation of modern transnational communities was no longer confined by geographical proximity, but it was shaped by shared values and interests. These communities developed through broad social networks that supported cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and sustainable local development.
จารุวรรณ หัตถผสุ Copyright (c) 2025 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/284902 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Effects of the STAD Cooperative Learning Model on Improving Sixth-Grade Students’ Reading Comprehension https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/289287
The objectives of this research were to examine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model in enhancing primary students’reading comprehension and to explore their level of satisfaction with this instructional strategy. The participants were 30 Sixth-Grade students from Ban Nong Khan School, selected through purposive sampling. The study was conducted during the second semester of the 2022 academic year.

The instructional materials included six lesson plans that integrated English reading instruction with fairy tales, aligning with the STAD cooperative learning framework. Data collection instruments comprised
a 20-item multiple-choice English reading comprehension test, a satisfaction questionnaire with open-ended response items.

The results revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’reading comprehension after implementing the STAD model, with post-test scores surpassing pre-test scores at the .05 significance level. The students also expressed high levels of satisfaction across the three key areas:learning environment, instructional materials, and learning activities. These findings suggest that the STAD cooperative learning model effectively fosters reading comprehension and student engagement. It is recommended for broader application in similar educational contexts and further comparative studies.
จักรกฤษณ์ บุญมาลา, Thanaporn Pantawee Copyright (c) 2025 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/289287 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Emotional Intelligence Affecting Work Performance Efficiency of Financial and Accounting Officers of Local Administrative Organizations in Roi Kaen Sara Sin Provincial Cluster https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/286016
The purposes of this research were to explore emotional intelligence: 1) knowing one’s emotion, 2) ability to control emotions, 3) self-motivation, 4) recognizing emotion in others, and 5) having relationships with others affecting work performance efficiency of financial and accounting officers. The participants were 97 undergraduate students majoring in Chinese from two universities in Thailand, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire and a vocabulary test on Chinese synonyms. Data were analyzed using content analysis, frequency, and percentage. The results revealed that the largest group of students (36 students, accounting for 37.11%) obtained scores ranging from 175 to 209 points, indicating that most students still lacked a complete understanding and appropriate application of synonymous words in Chinese.

The findings further demonstrated that: 1) the majority of students faced difficulties in selecting the correct synonymous word in context. The primary causes were: 1.1) the influence of their mother tongue (Thai), leading to literal translation, 1.2) rote memorization rather than contextual understanding, and 1.3) insufficient systematic instruction on synonym differentiation. 2) The recommended pedagogical approaches included synonym-based comparative instruction, the use of authentic communicative situations, and learner training to recognize and self-correct errors. This study highlights the importance of instructional design that emphasizes deep contextual understanding rather than rote learning in order to foster sustainable development of learners’ Chinese language proficiency.
Porramin Praparkarn, Wareekorn Kandee, Li Pengge, Ketkanok Hasup Copyright (c) 2025 Roi Et Rajabhat University https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/reru/article/view/287605 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700
