การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างรูปแบบการจัดการศึกษาปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับประเทศไทย 4.0 ของโรงเรียนเอกชน จังหวัดมหาสารคาม ผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการวิจัยตามขั้นตอนกระบวนการวิจัยและพัฒนา (Research and Development) แบ่งเป็น 3 ระยะ ดังนี้ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน การจัดการศึกษาปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับประเทศไทย 4.0 ของโรงเรียนเอกชน จังหวัดมหาสารคาม ระยะที่ 2 สร้างรูปแบบการจัดการศึกษาปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับประเทศไทย 4.0 ของโรงเรียนเอกชน จังหวัด มหาสารคาม ระยะที่ 3 ประเมินผลการใช้รูปแบบการจัดการศึกษาปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับประเทศไทย 4.0 ของโรงเรียนเอกชน จังหวัดมหาสารคาม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย เป็นแบบสอบถาม แบบประเมิน ลักษณะแบบรูบริคสกอร์และแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ และเชิง ปริมาณ โดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐานได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันการจัดการศึกษาปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับประเทศไทย 4.0 ของโรงเรียนเอกชน จังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีค่าเฉลี่ยรวม ทุกด้าน 4.43 อยู่ในระดับ มาก และด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำ 3 อันดับสุดท้าย ดังนี้ 1) ด้านหลักสูตร มีค่าเฉลี่ยรวม 4.19 อยู่ในระดับ มาก 2) ด้านการประเมินพัฒนาการและการเรียนรู้ มีค่าเฉลี่ยรวม 4.18 อยู่ในระดับ มาก 3) ด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างครูผู้สอนกับผู้ปกครอง มีค่าเฉลี่ยรวม 4.20 อยู่ในระดับ มาก
