Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the communication skills of students with intellectual disabilities. Learning can be organized by using 3D picture cards and positive reinforcement. This research focused on a target group of students at Regional Special Education Bureau, Changhan District, Students with intellectual disabilities have an intelligence level of 35-49. There is one male, 8 years old; one female, 12 years old; and one male, 15 years old. At the preparatory level, semester 2, academic year 2021, there are currently 3 students and obtained through the use of purposive sampling. The research is based on an experimental study that employs a single subject design. The tools used in research were; learning plans using 3D picture cards with positive reinforcement, test of communication skills. Statistics used in data analysis include mean and standard deviation. The result showed that. Enhancing communication skills in students with intellectual disabilities. Using of 3D picture cards with positive reinforcement. It was found that all 3 students with intellectual disabilities were able to communicate meanings in the areas of 1. Intimation 2. pair formation 3. pronunciation 4.exchange of picture cards. There was a tendency to increase.
