Abstract

          This research “Lishu’s Strings Instrument in Phetdham Village at Phetchabun Province” aims to study history and composition of it including learning and recording the melody in musical notation. The research instruments were accumulating via qualitative research by interview the musician and whom it may concerned in Phetdham Village at Phetchabun Province.

          The studied revealed that this instrument was mutuality with culture and traditional of tribe. The Lishu’s string instruments were used for festival such as Village’s New Year,Male’s New Year, Female’s New Year, etc. by create melody and rhythms for local dancing. As of now the musician who is the successor of this instrument is Mr. Asupa Seanja. He is regarded as a senior teacher of art os music and specialist in Lishu’s strings instrument. Lishu’s strings Instrument is the percussion instrument with 3 strings consisting of Machine heads, Neck, Sound Board, Strings, Bridge and Finger Pick. The research to records found the main of 3 song ; MeaJhooSuaySuay, Lu Mi Pa Si Year and WaTiTi. The Musician select song to play by properly.
