Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) the level of employee opinions on the quality of work life within the Provincial Electricity Authority in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, 2) the level of employee organizational commitment within the same organization, and 3) the impact of work-life quality on organizational commitment among employees in this region. The sample consisted of 200 employees of the Provincial Electricity Authority in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, specifically multiple regression analysis.

The findings revealed that 1) the overall quality of work life among employees of the Provincial Electricity Authority in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province had a high average score. When considering specific aspects, the highest average was found in the area of safe and healthy working conditions, followed by opportunities for personal development, work-life balance, and adequate and fair compensation, with the lowest average in social relations at work. 2) The overall organizational commitment of employees also had a high average score. The highest average was found in the intention to remain a member of the organization, followed by confidence in the organization's goals and values, with the lowest average in the willingness to devote effort to the organization. 3) The quality of work life had a statistically significant impact on the organizational commitment of employees at the Provincial Electricity Authority in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province at the 0.05 level.
