Driving Performance through MIS: A Case Analysis of Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership

The objectives of this research were 1) to design and develop an information management system for Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership, 2) to evaluate the effectiveness of the information management system for Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership, and 3) to assess user satisfaction with the information management system for Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership. The programming tools utilized in this study included Sublime Text 3 and PHP for system development, with MySQL database management system for data collection. The research instruments comprised 1) the information management system for Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership, 2) the effectiveness evaluation questionnaire of the information management system for Wanchai Metalwork Limited Partnership, and 3) the user satisfaction assessment questionnaire. The sample groups were divided into two groups: 1) 3 system development experts and 2) 30 system users. The research findings revealed that the system effectively managed customer data, product information, order listings, and order calculations, while also facilitating searches for product information, customer data, and order listings. Additionally, the system was able to generate reports, including quotations, cash receipts, tax invoices, and receipts. The overall system performance evaluation by experts was found to be at the highest level ( = 4.63, S.D. = 0.43), while overall user satisfaction indicated a high level of satisfaction (
= 4.07, S.D. = 0.45).
