Communication Behaviors and Factors Influencing the Learning of Sexual Behavior of Youth Digital Age in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract
This research is a qualitative research aims to study communication behavior and factors influencing learning in youth sexual behavior in digital era in Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. Data from 20 samples age between 13-22 years old were collected using in-depth telephone interview and analyzed it using content analyzing and textual analysis.
The finding indicated that communication behavior strongly influences the learning in youth sexual behavior since nowadays youth can freely access to sexual media. This is one of the factors leads to an increasing the learning in youth sexual behavior. Youth in digital era can access various media to learn about sexual behavior and bring it into their everyday life, for example, finding people for dating, discussing sexual experience, learning about sexuality, finding a place for sexual services and organizing a party for single and lonely people. They also use media every day for finding information in many topics such as entertainment and knowledge, or just surfing the internet. Moreover, media relating to sexuality nowadays contains more sensitive contents and easily access from many online media platforms such as smartphones, applications, TV series and movies containing sexual contents. Their purposes of using these media are for relaxation, enjoyment and searching information responding their curiosity or finding answers which cannot directly ask their family and others.
In addition, internal factor or personal factor such as attitudes and beliefs in sexual topic, family factor, friend factor and environment factor are another factor influencing the learning in sexual behavior, therefore, the learning in sexual behavior in youth has been influenced by media, family, friends, environment, their attitudes, beliefs and values.
