การศึกษาภาพตุงค่าวธรรมผ่านงานบริการวิชาการว่าด้วยการสำรวจและอนุรักษ์ซ่อมแซม มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมแห่งนครลำปาง (The Study of Tung Painting of VessantaraJakata Tale through Academic Service in Survey and Conservation on Cultural Heritage of Nakhon Lampang)

Abstract

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบของภาพจิตรกรรม เทคนิควิธีการเขียนภาพและลวดลายต่างๆ ที่มีคุณค่าความสำคัญในด้านภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น โดยการสำรวจเก็บข้อมูลโดยการบันทึกภาพถ่าย จากนั้นจะอธิบายให้ความรู้เรื่องคุณค่าความสำคัญของภาพตุงค่าวธรรม อันเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น ก่อนจะทำการอนุรักษ์ซ่อมแซมภาพตุงค่าวธรรมที่มีการสำรวจพบให้กับคนในชุมชนนั้นๆ ร่วมกับคนในชุมชนซึ่งเป็นเจ้าของมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมเอง

จากการศึกษาเก็บข้อมูล ผ่านกระบวนการบริการวิชาการด้วยการอนุรักษ์ซ่อมแซมภาพตุงค่าวธรรม ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2550 - ปี พ.ศ. 2558 ปรากฏชุมชน/วัด ที่มีภาพตุงค่าวธรรม จำนวน 12 ชุมชน/วัด รวมแล้วกว่า 270 ผืน ที่ปรากฏในจังหวัดลำปาง ถือเป็นงานพุทธศิลป์ที่ทรงคุณค่า เป็นหลักฐานทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่สำคัญ ซึ่งทุกผืนล้วนมีสภาพที่ชำรุดทรุดโทรม ต้องทำการอนุรักษ์ ซ่อมแซม เพื่อชะลอความเสียหายให้ได้ระยะหนึ่ง

นอกจากการอนุรักษ์ซ่อมแซมแล้ว สิ่งสำคัญคือการจัดการมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมชิ้นดังกล่าว โดยให้เก็บรักษาภาพตุงค่าวธรรมของเดิมไว้ให้ถูกหลักวิชาการ และได้มีการเสนอแนะให้ชุมชนคัดลอกภาพตุงค่าวธรรมต้นฉบับไว้ ลงบนผืนผ้าใบเพื่อการนำไปใช้งานในยุคปัจจุบันทั้งนี้ยังมีส่วนร่วมในการฟื้นฟูประเพณีตั้งธรรมหลวง ประเพณีที่สำคัญที่ทำให้ภาพตุงค่าวธรรมในอดีตกลับมามีบทบาทหน้าที่อีกครั้งในยุคปัจจุบัน ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งของการศึกษางานศิลปกรรม ผ่านงานบริการวิชาการอย่างมีส่วนร่วมกับหลายชุมชนในเขตจังหวัดลำปางตลอด 8 ปี ที่ผ่านมา

The purpose of this academic research is to study types of painting, patterns and techniques that refl ect folk wisdom. The information was collected and shared through photos followed by lectures on the signifi cance of Tung Painting of VessantaraJakata Tale which is the cultural heritage. The villagers can take part in the preservation process.

Records from the academic service during 2007 - 2015 showed that 270 Tung Painting of VessantaraJakata Tale discovered in 12 villages/ temples in Lampang were damaged and in poor conditions and preservation process were required.

Besides the preservation, the management of this cultural heritage was also required. The Tung Painting of VessantaraJakata Tale should be preserved in a good condition according to the academic requirements and it was recommended that the patterns on the original paintings were copied on canvas for use or presentation. The discovery and preservation of Tung Painting of VessantaraJakata Tale was also the opportunity to restore and promote “Tang Dhamma Luang”Buddhist ceremony. which was part of the study on art/painting through the academic service with several communities/ villages in Lampang in the past 8 years.
