แนวทางการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมชุมชนท่ามะโอ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง (Guidelines for Support Cultural Tourism Destination at Tha Ma-O Community Mueng Distric Lampang Province)

Abstract

 The objective of the study was to examine the heritage tourism and potentialsfor creating a heritage tourism roadmap for The Ma-O community in Maeung District,Lampang Province. The sampling group includes 400 tourists. The study appliedboth qualitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative phase was carried outthrough the use of questionnaire collecting data from the tourists who visit ThaMa-O. The qualitative phase was in-depth interview with the community leadersand 10 stakeholders. The result showed that Tha Ma-O community has a lot ofpotentials to be a cultural tourist destination because of their unique architecturalheritage such as Ban Sao Nak, Ban Louis, Was Pre Too Pong, and their time-honoured traditions such as the ritual dance to worship ancestors Fon Phee Pu Ya,the new harvest ritual Tan Khao Mai, and other rituals (e.g. Tan Khao Som Tor, andTan Pret Phlee). In promoting the community as a tourist destination, standardsand indicators should be set. The study also offered guidelines for promoting and improving the cultural tourism for the community and the development of tourismactivities, and suggested that the community should have agencies and personnelto be responsible for the maintenance of facilities and also promotional campaigns.
