บทคัดย่อ
การมีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์เรือเหนือของชุมชนคีรีวง เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพกับกลุ่มเรือเหนือคีรีวง ผู้นำในชุมชน เจ้าหน้าที่ภาครัฐและผู้นำศาสนา จำนวน 38 คน โดยวิธีการสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม การจัดกระบวนการสนทนากลุ่ม การสัมภาษณ์เชิงโครงสร้างและการเปิดเวทีชุมชนเพื่อนำมาข้อมูลมาประมวลผลและวิเคราะห์เชื่อมโยงประเด็น สังเคราะห์เรียบเรียง วิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนาและนำเสนอผลเชิงเรื่องเล่าของชุมชน พบว่า 1) การมีส่วนร่วมในการศึกษาข้อมูลและสถานการณ์ชุมชนหรือการร่วมศึกษาชุมชน ร่วมกันวิเคราะห์ปัญหาและวางแผนเพื่อให้ประวัติศาสตร์คงอยู่และเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรม 2) การมีส่วนร่วมในการวิเคราะห์ปัญหาสาเหตุที่ถูกผนวกกับความทันสมัย ที่คนยุคใหม่ไม่ค่อยให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องราวในอดีต 3) การมีส่วนร่วมในการเลือกแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหา โดยยอมรับถึงปัญหาประวัติศาสตร์ของท้องถิ่นกำลังจะสูญหาย เนื่องจากความเจริญที่เข้ามีบทบาทต่อวิถีชีวิต และรูปแบบการผลิตที่เปลี่ยนไป เยาวชนรุ่นหลังหลงลืมรากเหง้าประเพณีของตนเอง 4) การมีส่วนร่วมดำเนินการตามแผน เช่น การประชุมกลุ่มวางแผนเพื่อการจัดตั้งกลุ่มอนุรักษ์เรือเหนือเพื่อรื้อฟื้นการล่องเรือเหนืออย่างน้อยปีละครั้ง 5) การมีส่วนร่วมติดตามประเมินผลเพื่อทราบถึงปัญหา อุปสรรคและหาแนวทางแก้ไขเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ และสืบทอดเรือเหนือให้ดำรงอยู่ต่อไป
