Participation in the conservation of “Ruea Nuea” of the Khiriwong community, Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, a qualitative research project, included 38 key informants, namely a group of Ruea Nuea community leaders, government officials, and religious leaders. This study focused on participant observation by organizing the group conversation process. It used structured interviews and opens community forums for data processing and analysis to connect issues. It synthesized descriptive analysis and presents the narrative study results of the community. The findings revealed: 1) participation in the study of community, analysis of problems and plans for the preservation of history and cultural heritage; 2) participation in causal analysis of why the new generation does not pay much attention to the stories of the past; 3) participation in the selection of solutions by acknowledging that the issue of local history is disappearing due to the prosperity that plays a role in the way of life and changing production patterns resulting in the younger generation forgetting the roots of their own traditions; and 4) participation in the implementation of the plan, such as once a year, for example, having a planning group meeting for the establishment of Ruea Nuea Conservation Group, and 5) discussing obstacles and solutions for the conservation and inheritance of Ruea Nuea to continue to exist.
