Abstract

When the marriage between a man and a woman is registered, the spouses shall become husband and wife by law. If the marriage is not terminated by the death, the divorce or being revoked by the Court, it still exists. Marriage shall not be terminated by obtaining Buddhist monkhood of husband. However, if marriage is terminated by Buddhist monk’s death, his properties acquired by him during his monkhood shall immediately become possessions of the monastery which is his domicile, shall not devolve on his wife or statutory heirs.
