An Application of Iddhipa ̅da for Personnel in the Performance of Duties in Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate an application of Iddhipāda (the four paths of accomplishment) for personnel in the performance of duties in Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province; and 2) to collect recommendations on an application of Iddhipāda (the four paths of accomplishment) for personnel in the performance of duties in Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province. A quantitative research approach was used in the study. The sample group consisted of 114 people from Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province. The sample size was calculated using the Taro Yamane formula. The study's instruments were a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale, an IOC of 0.67 - 1.00, and a reliability of 0.92. Frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were the statistics employed for content analysis.


From the study, the following results are found: 1) An application of Iddhipāda (the four paths of ฟccomplishment) for personnel in the performance of duties in Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province, is overall at a high level. When examining the individual aspects, all four aspects are at a high level, with the mean value ranging from the highest to the lowest level: public administration, mission, provision of services and public duty, respectively; 2) Personnel from Selaphum Subdistrict Municipality, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province have made the following recommendations for applying Iddhipāda (the four paths of accomplishment) in their performance of duties: Vīmasā (investigation) is the first step toward improving performance toward the public; Citta (thoughtfulness) is the second step toward ensuring that personnel remain focused, attentive, and determined while providing services; Viriya (effort) is the third step toward ensuring personnel are diligent and patient in carrying out their assigned missions; and Chanda (aspiration) is the fourth step toward ensuring personnel is passionate about their work and have faith and confidence in it, which results in successes.
