Learning Management Based on the 5-STEPs Learning Process in Combination with Thinking Tools for Pre-Service Teachers

Abstract

From the study, the following results were found: 1) The synthesis of the 5-STEPs learning process combined with thinking tools revealed that there are five STEPs with five different thinking tools. The first STEPs is to identify questions for learning management by using ‘key question’ as a thinking tool. The second STEPs is to search for information about learning management by using the ‘round table’ as a thinking tool. The third STEPs is to build a body of knowledge for learning management by using ‘place mat’ as a thinking tool. The fourth STEPs refers to learning communication by using ‘mind mapping’ as a thinking tool. The fifth STEPs is to compensate the society by learning management using ‘invention’ as a thinking tool; and 2) The posttest of learning management through the 5-STEPs learning process combined with thinking tools for pre-service teachers is higher than the pretest with a statistical significance of 0.05.
