Risk Management Model of Educational Institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the causal factors of risk management of educational institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office; 2) to create risk management model for educational institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office; and 3) to assess the propriety and feasibility of risk management model for educational institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office. The study employed mixed-methods research, including both qualitative and quantitiave methods. The population used for the study consisted of 169 educational institutions from Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and 2. A sample group included 118 educational institutions, which were calculated using Krejcie & Morgan table. The key informants were 354 administrators, teachers, and heads of the subject areas in charge of risk management. The tool used was a questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient (r), path analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. 


From the study, the following results are found: 1) Factors within educational institutions include: (1) products and services; (2) financial performance; (3) personnel; (4) management; (5) equipment; and (6) policies of the educational institution. All of these factors have a significant impact on risk in the management of educational institutions. 2)  Risk management model for educational institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office is congruent with the empirical data at an acceptable level. 3) Risk management model for educational institutions in Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Area Office has the highest level of propriety (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 4.50, S.D. = .22) and feasibility (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 4.54, S.D. = .22).
