The Development of Transformational Leadership Training Program for Early Childhood Caregivers of the Catholic Schools Located in Bangkok under the Archdiocese of Bangkok

Abstract
The research article included the following objectives: 1) to develop a transformational leadership training program for early childhood caregivers in Catholic schools; 2) to experiment and evaluate the program; and 3) to improve the program. The study used a research and development approach, and it was divided into three phases, which were: 1) Program development by identifying the needs of directors or administrators and assistant directors of the early childhood department, as well as a sample group of teachers and nannies in 13 Catholic schools under the Archdiocese of Bangkok; 2) Program experimentation and evaluation with directors or administrators, teachers, and nannies of St. Peter Thonburi School and Gabriel Utpatham School; and 3) Program improvement by analyzing the outcomes of program experimentation.
From the study, the following results are found:
1) The training program consists of 7 modules, which are: (1) administrators versus leadership, (2) concepts and transformational leadership behavior, (3) ideological influence, (4) consideration of individuality, (5) intellectual stimulation, (6) building motivation, and (7) reflection, goal setting, and group agreement.
2) The results of program experimentation and evaluation show that this short-term program can raise awareness of transformational leadership among caregivers, leading to their improvement in transformational leadership in terms of knowledge and behavior.
3) The program improvement includes allocating more time for training by starting it earlier so that all the content of the program can be covered.
